The Juvenile Hall garden is not a rehabilitation panacea but rather a sophisticated plant based program that combines hands-on gardening with life lessons about teamwork, responsibility, kinship with all life and nurturing (plants and each other) and because of that, it is a program that promises to reduce recidivism.

			Catalyst for Youth offers a plant based education program that revolves around a garden created on site by minors and Catalyst volunteers within the detention facility.
