Juvenile Hall Garden Program: Planting Begins in June!
Today was a special day in the Juvenile
Hall garden. A few of the young men began to create the circular planting
rows that Erik Plato helped them design in the initial garden plan. Others
filled in the irrigation trenches and a few boys planted seeds and some
tomato plants. The sprinkling system will be battery operated and should
be up and running by next Wednesday's garden session (June 6th). Plans
are underway to purchase river stones and have each youth paint them with
his name on it and other designs. The stones will be at the entrance of
the garden and will represent the unique energies of all who have participated.
More on that later.
